FAQ
Q – Do you have triangular shapes?
We don't unless we are designing a be-spoke shade solution and in which case we would probably be using multiple sails carefully chosen to achieve sufficient shading .The rectangular and sqaure sails, when installed well look dynamic and are an efficient shade solution.
Q- Do you recommend or can advise on removable shade sail posts?
From our experience there are some issues to consider and most importantly Health & Safety is a priority. The steel posts we use are heavy ,(nominal bore of between 80mm and 100mm and 4.5mm wall). Lifting them in and out of a 1200 mm sleeve concreted in the ground vertically is challenging, so though we have done this upon request, we find after a period of time they just remain in the ground.
Q- Do we need to maintain the hardware supplied in any way?
No, the hardware supplied is stainless steel and designed for the outdoor environment. The adjustable turnbuckles and D's are pre-lubed prior to despatch.
Q- Is the fabric waterproof?
A small amount of 'misting' underneath will be noticed when raining.
Q- Will my shade sail survive a coastal/high wind area?
Yes, if the security and location of fixing points are of sufficient strength and the sail is tensioned correctly.
